Wintery NightWinter has arrived in London Ontario. It snowed most of yesterday, has not let up all day today and more of the same is promised for tomorrow. This image, taken from my balcony, or rather, taken through the door leading onto my balcony because there's a good 40 cm of snow out there, doesn't really give a sense of how much snow has fallen and since I haven't been out it's difficult for me to hazard a guess. By this time tomorrow however we could easily have 60 cm or more.
Update: My daughter was just here and she believes we already have 60-70 cm. Mmmm, could have a metre by this time tomorrow. Sure am glad I don't have to go anywhere.
Took this with the 20mm 1.7 Panasonic mounted on the E-PL1. At ISO 1250 there was some noise but Noise Ninja did a decent job of removing that. I then used Infocus from Trojan Labs, which I'm trying on trial, to bring back some of the sharpness. Not bad.

I reeeely like how you've built this composition. How the hand of the people-night reaches into the sky's night. It appears cold up there buddy. But then again, that's where they make cold, huh? Merry Festus and Happy NY....
