Welcome to my PhotoBlog

"The ultimate wisdom of the photographic image is to say:  "There is the surface.  Now think-or rather feel, intuit- what is beyond it, what the reality must be like if it looks this way."  Photographs which cannot themselves explain anything, are inexhaustible invitations to deduction, speculation and fantasy."

My View

Actually, the view is from my bed. The last several mornings I've lain in bed pondering this scene and how I could make an interesting photograph out of it. This isn't quite what I'd envisioned apart from the framing and the B&W treatment but as I worked on it this is what evolved.

How very much I love those split seconds in live, that hold more power than countless hours of movies and tv. It's those moments that add richness and profound connectivity with the world. Before the brain starts to analyze and diminish the value of the moment, there is something that happens well beyond the conscious layer. This is what I love in such shots as yours. THank you kindly for that!

cheers
